Do you work at a museum or archive in the Netherlands or in the Caribbean part of the Kingdom? Or are you involved in another way with a heritage institution? We would like to invite you to HERE: Heritage Reflections on Tuesday 30 May from 13:00 – 18:30 (Dutch time) in the Neude Library in Utrecht.
HERE is a seminar for new and experienced heritage professionals. The aim is to bring professionals together in order to stimulate knowledge exchange and innovation.
This afternoon we will reflect on the themes of positionality and community building with various players from the heritage field. Together with you, we will discuss topics such as awareness of your own position and the importance of context and perspective.
Which paths do you take as a heritage professional? How do you use oral history and community archives as a supplement to collective history? And what are the ethical issues surrounding fundraising?
The programme consists of a plenary part and 5 in-depth sessions for which you can register during the event. All programme components are in English and can be followed online. The plenary lectures will be recorded and can be viewed later.
Register below, participation is free. NB! The number of available places is limited.
