We request that you include a general budget and financial plan with your application. Following the allocation of a grant, a specified budget and financial plan may be requested.

Information on the general budget
VAT (btw/ob/obb/abb)
All amounts must be listed excluding VAT. The Mondriaan Fund grant is awarded excluding VAT, unless the applicant is not subject to VAT. If this applies to you, please include proof from the tax authorities that you are not subject to VAT. If your organisation is subject to VAT, the Mondriaan Fund will not pay the VAT. For this reason, all amounts must be listed excluding VAT.
Costs
The Mondriaan Fund requests that you provide a summary of the variable project costs. You may not include regular expenses such as personnel, overheads and other permanent operational costs.
Potential expenses include:
Financial plan
The Mondriaan Fund requests that you provide a general summary of your financial plan. The Mondriaan Fund contributes a maximum of 90%. The total grant awarded by the Mondriaan Fund will be €5,000, €10,000 or €20,000. The remainder may consist of:
- Proprietary income, such as ticket sales, income from publications, sponsoring (including in kind) or crowdfunding.
- Private capital
- Contributions from third parties, such as the various public and private funds, the municipality, other governments.
Be aware that:
- The total costs must be equal to the total in the financial plan, including the Mondriaan Fund grant. In other words, the budget must be balanced.
- The financial plan may not include any capitalised labour.
Following allocation
Following the allocation of a grant, a specified budget and financial plan may be requested.
The Mondriaan Fund will request a clear and more specified summary of the variable project costs and your financial plan:
- The total costs must be equal to the total in the financial plan, including the Mondriaan Fund grant. In other words, the budget must be balanced.
- Wherever possible, you must provide quotes to justify crucial items.
- The total grant awarded by the Mondriaan Fund will be €5,000, €10,000 or €20,000.
- Alongside the Mondriaan Fund grant, you must ensure co-financing for at least 10% of the requested contribution.
