Brief summary of the open call
Who is it for?
Museums, cultural heritage organisations and visual arts institutions in the Caribbean territories of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, Sint Eustatius and/or Sint Maarten).
What is it for?
The funding may be used for projects involving collections, exchange of knowledge, programmes and presentations open to the public. For example: exhibitions, reassessing collections, special (inter-island) partnerships between cultural heritage and visual arts institutions, and/or research. This call also accepts funding applications for organisational development.
How much
The Mondriaan Fund is able to grant a fixed amount of €5,000, €10,000 or €20,000.
Motivation for this open call
Through this open call, the Mondriaan Fund aims to provide a contribution to the development of museums, cultural heritage and visual arts organisations in the Caribbean territories of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. This call is part of a wider-ranging pilot project that aims to map out Caribbean visual arts and cultural heritage practices, in order to ensure our funding policy is also accessible and relevant for applicants in this region.
Deadline
The submission deadline for applications for the Caribbean Art Heritage Open Call is 16 May 2022 before 5 PM timezone the Netherlands (Central European Time)/ 11 AM Caribbean time (Atlantic Standard Time).
