With a passion for fostering artistic engagement and curatorial excellence, she has played a pivotal role in shaping the programming and educational initiatives at the Sharjah Art Foundation.
Alkhaja’s worked on Sharjah Biennial 15: Thinking Historically in the Present, (2023) and Sharjah Biennial 14: Leaving the Echo Chamber, (2019), which showcased the work of renowned artists from around the world, providing a platform for critical discourse and artistic exploration. In addition to the biennial, she also worked on The Rain Forever Will be Made of Bullets, (2022); When I Count, There Are Only You…, (2022); CAMP: Passages Through Passages, (2021); Art in the Age of Anxiety, (2020); Monir Farmanfarmaian: Sunset, Sunrise, (2019); Amal Kenawy: Frozen Memory, (2018); The March Project, (2018); Zineb Sedira: Air Affairs and Other Aquatic Tales, (2018) and Hassan Sharif: I Am The Signle Work Artist, (2017). Alkhaja joined the Sharjah Art Foundation in 2015 as an Adult Education Programme Coordinator. In this role, she worked on developing and implementing diverse educational programs that engaged audiences of all ages. Through thoughtfully curated workshops, talks, and courses, she nurtured a dynamic learning environment, encouraging dialogue and critical thinking among participants.
She graduated from Zayed University, Dubai in 2013 with a bachelor degree in fine arts.
