Function: Curator, co-founder and co-director of 40mcube & executive producer for the Fondation de France’s New Patrons action Country: France Visiting period: 20 - 24 May Visiting year: 2019 Part of Visit by 4 art professionals from France

She holds a master’s degree in exhibitions and in history of art. In 2001 she founded, together with Patrice Goasduff, 40mcube a contemporary art centre which concentrates a studio for the production of works, an artists’ residence, a training organisation and an office for organizing contemporary art projects.

With a constant work of prospecting and a particular attention for the artists at the beginning of their career, she sets up a program of monographic and collective exhibitions at 40mcube and with partner places. Her group exhibitions address issues of time and space, duration and location of the exhibition as well as history and geography. They are deployed in series with Chantier public I and II, the program Le Château, Anachronismes and other space-time manipulations I, Particularismes, II, Universalisme, Archeologia I and II…

Considering that public space is a place to be invested by artists, 40mcube presents works there punctually, creates a sculpture park, the HubHug Sculpture Project, and accompanies citizens in the commissioning of art works. In parallel with its exhibition program, 40mcube is setting up a studio for the production of works, artist residencies on the territory and in companies, and creating in 2014 the first professional training course for artists, GENERATOR, in collaboration with the Ecole Européenne Supérieure d’Art de Bretagne.
