Duncan Forbes was previously Director of Fotomuseum Winterthur (CH), and Senior Curator of Photography at the National Galleries of Scotland, Edinburgh (GB). His exhibitions include Provoke: Between Protest and Performance, Photography in Japan 1960/1975 and Manifeste!: Eine Andere Geschichte der Fotografie.
His newest writings include catalogue essays for the Reina Sofia (ES) and the Art Institute of Chicago (US). Recent essays have appeared in Camera Austria International (AT), Trigger (NL), ZUM (BR), and History Workshop Journal (GB). His latest book publication is An Interview with Lewis Baltz (London: Mack, 2020).
