After studying Arts Studies, Curatorship and Museum Studies in the UK and South Korea, she worked as the Head of Exhibition at Seoul Museum of Art (2013-17) and MMCA Seoul (2017-19).
She is continuously researching, lecturing and writing about contemporary arts, cultural policy and the museum’s role and responsibility in society. She is the author of the book United Creations: The Sensation of British Contemporary Art (Seoul: Badabooks, 2019). ARKO Art Center’s exhibition and education program is committed to respecting cultural diversity and supports innovative and experimental works that blur the boundaries of genre and media. Contextualizing topics and social issues directly related to the future of humanity and communicating these through art practice is a necessary social role for any public art museum and cultural organization.
