Julia Eckert works as a curator and cultural manager in Leipzig. Previously she was Head of the collection Artothek at Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (2017-2020) and had a fellowship for arts coordination at the Akademie Schloss Solitude (2016).
Her curatorial projects include the exhibitions: Katarína Dubovská [response_ability] (D21, Leipzig, 2021), On Showing and Looking (Grassi Museum für Völkerkunde zu Leipzig, 2017), Im_Mobilities (Galerie KUB, Leipzig, 2017), The Artist Is Online (Akademie Schloss Solitude, Stuttgart, 2016). She studied Cultural Studies and Political Science at the University of Leipzig and at Université Lumière Lyon II. 2017 she completed the postgraduate program Cultures of the Curatorial at the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig.
