She studied at the Hochschule für bildende Künste (HFBK) Hamburg and graduated in Curatorial Studies at the Goethe University Frankfurt and the Staatliche Hochschule für Bildende Künste –Städelschule. Droste co-curated the performance and film program “Hélio Oiticica at Palmengarten” (2013) in cooperation with the Museum MMK für Moderne Kunst Frankfurt am Main. From 2014 to 2016 she worked at the Kunstverein in Hamburg and co-curated the exhibition series “I, Too, Wondered Whether I Could Not Sell Something And Succeed In Life“ (2015) and the group exhibition “In Spring, Darling“ (2014). Together with Nick Oberthaler, she founded the exhibition space VIS in Hamburg and presented exhibitions by Inga Danysz, Melanie Ebenhoch, Marius Engh, Manuela Gernedel and Fiona Mackay, Barbara Kapusta, Alice Peragine, Manfred Pernice, Ramaya Tegegne and Torben Wessel as well as interventions by Marie Cool Fabio Balducci, Roman Barkow, Beatriz Olabarrieta and Gerwald Rockenschaub (all in 2018).
