Yesomi Umolu leads a program of international contemporary art in the Logan Center Gallery alongside holding the position of Lecturer in the Humanities Division at the University of Chicago. Prior to joining the Logan, she held curatorial positions at the Edythe Broad Art Museum at MSU, the Walker Art Center (Minneapolis) and Manifesta 8.
Umolu was artistic director of the 2019 Chicago Architecture Biennial and received an Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts Curatorial Fellowship in 2016. She regularly contributes to major talks, conferences and publications with leading figures in the fields of art and architecture and lends her expertise to the selection of artists for major grants and fellowships. She recently served on the curatorial advisory board for the United States Pavilion at the 16th Venice Architecture Biennale and sits the board of trustees at the Graham Foundation, Chicago.
