Work on the professionalisation of your art practice
Did you graduate as a visual artist during the time of corona and would you like to give your art practice an extra boost? Then please register for Power up, a programme specially developed by the Mondriaan Fund, in which you can further develop your artistic practice and positioning.
This programme has been developed for artists who graduated during the period 2020, 2021 and 2022 and who have experienced adverse consequences due to the measures taken during the period of corona, both during and after the bachelor’s degree in visual arts. Presenting your work was difficult and networking opportunities were minimal. That is why the Mondriaan Fund offers a special programme based on our knowledge, experience and expertise to give your practice an extra boost. What would you currently like to further develop? Think about formulating the artistic vision and principles of your work more clearly, the professionalisation of your entrepreneurship, what subsidy options are there and what should you pay attention to, and how do you present your work and make contacts.
How does it work?
Successful and experienced artists, curators and museum professionals share their experiences and expertise with the programme participants. Discussions take place about various art practices and what is important to develop within your practice. Curators and museum professionals provide insight into presenting visual art. The programme concludes with a plenary meeting in which both the participants and the accompanying professionals present their artistic practice. There is plenty of opportunity to meet each other and strengthen your network.
The programme will take place in the period starting from December 2023 until February 2024.
Own contribution: 7 working days (Monday or Tuesday, spread out over 4 months) and travel expenses
The Mondriaan Fund organises and finances this programme. It has received a budget for this from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.
The project leader of the programme on behalf of the Mondriaan Fund is Huib Haye van der Werf, curator, writer, podcaster and advisor. More information: uhvounlr.inaqrejres@zbaqevnnasbaqf.ay
