Research forms a big part of her practice, as do curating, collaboration, film and book projects.
Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, including solo shows in Amman, Dubai, Sharjah, New York, London and Seville. Her projects were shown at the Venice, Istanbul, Gwangju, Ural, Orleans and other biennials. She curated the first Kuwaiti Pavilion at the Venice Biennale. She is co-founder of the publishing initiative Kayfa ta, co-Head of Berlinale’s Forum Expanded, member of the Academy of the Arts of the World (Cologne), and co-Artistic Director of Singapore Biennale 2022. She is research scholar at al Mawrid Arab Center for the Study of Art, at New York University Abu Dhabi.
