Amira Ben Saoud has been the culture editor of the Austrian daily newspaper Der Standard since 2019 and specialises in the areas of music, art and pop culture.
Ben Saoud studied classics, art history and comparative literature in Vienna. From 2016 to 2017, she was editor-in-chief of Austrian pop culture magazine The Gap. She then took over as program director of the feminist, collaborative RRRIOT Festival. Since 2019, she is a culture editor for the Austrian daily newspaper DER STANDARD focusing on pop culture, contemporary art and literature. She is also currently working on her debut novel.
