Before moving to Hungary, she worked for institutions such as Fotomuseum Den Haag, Nederlands Fotomuseum, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and Foam. She has curated many exhibitions and has collaborated with artists such as Noémie Goudal, Peter Puklus, Dana Lixenberg, Sara Cwynar, Sputnik Photos and Erik Kessels.
In Budapest, she became senior curator at the Mai Manó House in 2018-2019, after which she started working independently. Due to the pandemic, she curated exhibitions in alternative spaces, such as the online exhibition The Family Album of Human Rights with photographs selected from the Fortepan archive commissioned by Amnesty International (2020) and two exhibitions in public space in collaboration with the Dutch Embassy in Hungary (2021): Hans Eijkelboom’s Photo Notes from 1992 – Present and the interdisciplinary group exhibition The Garden of Delight. (thegardenofdelight.hu) She has contributed to many publications such as Peter Puklus, Handbook to the Stars (2012 and 2020) and Photobloc, Central Europe in photobooks (2019). She is also regularly invited to juries, speaks at openings and gives lectures, such as this spring for MOME (Moholy-Nagy University for Art and Design in Budapest) on photobooks in the Netherlands.
Upcoming projects include a collaboration with Hans van der Meer for his photo project Quirk of Fate, which will be presented at the Capa Center in Budapest in September this year, and Veszprém-Balaton 2023, Cultural Capital of Europe, for which she will curate several exhibitions and organise a residency programme for international artists. Besides being a dedicated promoter of international collaborations and exchange, her main focus is on interdisciplinary relations within contemporary photography and the photo book.
