Ilaria’s curatorial work focuses on research-based artistic practices engaging with decoloniality and epistemic justice. Her practice is concerned with institutional infrastructures, communal care, curatorial ethics, labor, and civic agency. Previously, she served as Curator at the American Federation of Arts, Research Curator at the Centre Pompidou, Assistant Curator of the 2016 Marrakech Biennale, and Samuel H. Kress Interpretive Fellow at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, among other positions. Her curatorial work has been featured in projects presented at the Centre Pompidou, Paris; the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, New York; The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; Swiss Institute, Rome; Fondation H, Paris; among other institutions.
