Jean Marc Prevost is the director of the Carré d’Art in Nîmes since 2012.
His experience includes the direction of the Musée d’Art Contemporain de Rochechouart where he organized exhibtions with Rodney Graham, Michelangelo Pistolleto, Richard Deacon, Jean Marc Bustamante or Thierry Kuntzel. He was also curator at the Ministery of Culture and organized the 10th anniversary exhibition of the Prix Marcel Duchamp at the Mori Museum, Tokyo and the Museum of Modern Art, Séoul. He is advisor for the Kadist Foundation and for visual Arts at the Festival d’Automne, Paris. He is on the committee of the Garonne Project which concerns the programing of public commissions in the city of Bordeaux. His recent exhibtions in Nîmes include a solo show of Stan Douglas, Walid Raad, Fahd Burki, Anne Imhof, Suzanne Lafon,t Rayyane Tabet, Wolfgang Tillmans, Yto Barrada, Latoya Ruby Frazier, Anna Boghiguian, Abraham Cruzvillegas, Tarik Kiswanson and Norman Foster on Art (2013) Choregraphies Suspendues -Contemporary Art in Vietnam (2014), Personal Cuts – Art in Zagreb from 1950 untill now (2015).
