She has been working with the communications of different international art projects, such as the Estonian Pavilion at the Venice biennial or the Baltic Triennial 13.
Kivirähk writes a column on contemporary art and visual culture for Postimees newspaper and has published in various Estonian based magazines and Finnish art magazine Edit. As an art writer she is interested in a wide range of topics and visual expressions, having explored cultural appropriation in art or female self-expressions in patriarchal society in her articles. She has studied art history in Tartu University (BA) and cultural theory in Tallinn University (MA).
