She studied art history at the University of Münster and the Suor Orsula Benincasa in Naples. Since then she has been managing and curating exhibitions and art projects specializing in 20th and 21st century art.
She is currently the artistic director of “Tatort Paderborn 2025“, an exhibition format in public urban space. As curator for the „Emscherkunstweg“-project at Urbane Künste Ruhr she has been responsible for the maintenance and artistic revision of the public collection. She is also a mediator for the New Patrons’ project „Citizen-Commissioned Dance and Performance“ funded by the Kulturstiftung des Bundes (German Federal Cultural Foundation). At the LWL-Museum of Art and Culture in Münster she co-curated the exhibition „Unexpected Encounters“ and curated the exhibition „Andreas Siekmann. Records from a post-factual age“. As deputy curator for contemporary art she took care of the permanent public collection during Sculpture Projects 2017.
Marijke Lukowicz is a member of the advisory board of the Westfälischer Kunstverein and the art advisory board of the state capital Kiel. She has already taken part in numerous juries and competitions in the field of art-in-architecture.
