Rebecca Lamarche-Vadel is the director of Lafayette Anticipations, a Fondation established by the Galeries Lafayette Group where she has curated several exhibitions such as the Marguerite Humeau and Jean-Marie Appriou exhibition, the 2021 Martin Margiela exhibition as well as the 2022 Cyprien Gaillard exhibition. She is a member of the Expert Committee for the ‘Mondes Nouveaux’ program.
She was the Chief curator of the Riga International Biennial of Contemporary Art (RIBOCA), and directed the feature film deriving from the Biennial (2021).
From 2011 to 2019, she was a curator at the Palais de Tokyo where she gave carte blanche to, notably, Tomas Saraceno for ON AIR (2018-2019), an exhibition that gained the greatest public success at the Palais de Tokyo, along with the carte blanche to Tino Seghal, which gave place to the largest living art exhibition in the world (2016). She has also presented exhibitions by Marguerite Humeau, FOXP2 (2016), by Ed Atkins, Bastards (2014), Evian Disease by Helen Marten (2013), Mo’swallow (2014) by David Douard, as well as the collective exhibition ‘Le bord des mondes’ (2015).
She collaborates regularly with both French and International institutions, magazines and catalogues and intervenes across numerous seminars and jury, in France and abroad.
