Selina Väliheikki is a curator interested in small things and situated knowledges. Questioning and listening are central to her work, and she is particularly inspired by feminist pedagogy and collective practices. She is interested in the potential of art and exhibitions in relation to emotions: how they are linked to change and can set things in motion.

Over the last ten years she has worked both as an independent curator and in art institutions. She co-founded the Feminist Culture House and the Museum of Impossible Forms in Helsinki, and was involved in running the Mustarinda art camps in Hyrynsalmi, Kainuu. She currently works as an exhibition curator at the Oulu Art Museum in Northern Finland. Her recent exhibitions include Minna Henriksson’s solo exhibition on Finnish nationalism and leftist resistance movements, as well as the thematic exhibitions Maja/Den, which looks at the exhibition as a space for spending time doing things together, and Listen to the Dust, whose themes rose from the dust and meandered through the maelstrom of life.
