Is an independent curator based in Johannesburg, with a particular interest in photography and the visual archive. She studied photojournalism and documentary photography at the Market Photo Workshop, and went on to work as a picture researcher and photo-editor in South African media houses.
Mogotsi has curated key exhibitions at the University of the Witwatersrand’s School of Arts, Rhodes University, the Johannesburg Art Gallery and Constitution Hill. She is currently co-director at ROOM Gallery, an independent project space that focuses on collaboration and interdisciplinary dialogue with early to mid-career artists in the global South and its Diasporas.
