Vera Lauf is curator and art historian based in Leipzig. Currently, she works as research curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Leipzig.
From 2010–2013, she was teaching at the Cultures of the Curatorial postgraduate programme at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig and directed the project Well Connected – Curatorial Practice in the 21st Century. On a freelance basis, she conducted exhibitions, public programs, workshops and publications for various international institutions (e.g. CAC Vilnius, KW Berlin, Goethe Institut Nowosibirsk). In 2012, she completed her Ph.D. on the subject “Modern Appropriations: On the Criticism of Modernism in Contemporary Art”.
